According to authorities, a 13-year-old girl passed away on Wednesday following her injury from gunshots during a brawl at a Lynnwood, Washington, mall.

According to the Lynnwood Police Department, Jayda Woods-Johnson was "tragically slain" at the Alderwood Mall.
The department released a statement saying, "The suspect has been identified as a 16-year-old male from Edmonds." "His mother brought him in, and he is currently under guard. He will be charged with murder and put in jail."
Police stated there had been a "altercation" between two groups near the food court of the mall. According to authorities, Woods-Johnson did not belong to either group and looked like she was hit by a stray bullet.
